Hi all! My DSIL just requested a knit hat for my niece for Christmas. I immediately thought of a hat I saw on this site a couple of years ago. I'm pretty sure it was posted as an FO. It was deep pink with a yellow i cord going that may have been tied in a bow. I believe it was a cloche type hat and it was being modeled on a Care bear. Does anyone know what I am talking about? I've been trying to search for it but not knowing the name or even the designer name is really slowing down my search. Thanks in advance!

ETA Forgot to mention it was a baby hat not an adult hat.

Holly;
I specifically remember the exact hat you are referring to! Your description was so perfect that it jumped right into my head. I am sure I saw it on knittingpatterncentral.com and will try to find it now. Give me a minute . .

Here it is

If you are not able to open this link, go to www.knittingpatterncentral, choose baby, then baby hats and finally Simple Bow Hat! There are SO many cute ideas and patterns here, you will want to check it out! Good luck.

I just came back from vacation and am reading posts... I just saw this one and it's my pattern. Glad to know someone still likes it. I haven't made it in years. :lol:

I love it, how much yarn is required for the 4?

Oh gosh...I don't know really, but it can't be much. I just used left over stash yarn, but how much yarn you use would be somewhat dependent on the yarn you use and size you make. I can test it again, but I don't have time for a bit..too much holiday stuff going on and I'm in the middle of a steeked sweater class. ;)

Learned to knit back in the late 60's, early 70's, but reading today's patterns, I am almost totally confused...
Glad I saw the link to this site...as the glossary is definitely needed...:woot:
