View Full Version : Yarn Question

:knitting: I just saw a pattern that calls for Malabrigo Rasta yarn. All it says is that it is super bulky. But does anyone know what it could compare to? Would it compare to maybe Lion Brand's Hometown USA, Jiffy Thick 'n' Quick, Wool Ease Thick & Quick?

Probably those would be good substitutes, yes.

You can see the Malabrigo Rasta here (http://www.yarn.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/product.detail/categoryID/1169B26B-D990-449B-BF9D-DB7A17B2185B/productID/2966122A-C524-4FE8-9087-8780111A7B8D/?utm_source=froogle&utm_medium=feeds&utm_campaign=froogle).

The Lion Brand super bulky category shows the ones that would be comparable here (http://cache.lionbrand.com/cgi-bin/yarnInfo.cgi?yarnByClass=1).

To narrow it down further you can compare the gauge. If it's a scarf or something like that it doesn't matter that much though.

Thanks - I thought they might but it was hard to tell from the photo. Some companies call their yarn super bulky when they are just bulky! Appreciate the help.
