I was just thinking what a problem St Patty's day is for me - I don't really have any green clothes. I know I must have some green yarn in my stash - I bet I can work on a shamrock or two by Thursday - I can wear them as a pin/broche or tie one to a hair barette.

Thanks for the ideas!

I've left it far too late this year I think to do anything with my new found knitting skills....but I might rustle up a couple of these (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/cloverly) if I can in time for our town's parade on Thursday afternoon, and sew them on to hair grips to put in my hair :)

I'm leading a couple of rescue/foster dogs in the parade for our local SPCA...and found some lovely ribbon to twist up their leads and around their collars...flat black ribbon with a green celtic knot pattern running through it...so at least the dogs will look the part.
