I made these booties...a free pattern found here (http://tlc.howstuffworks.com/home/free-baby-bootie-knitting-patterns2.htm)...to accompany the ruffled hat...

These booties are knit in one piece and seamed up. I found the seaming instructions located here (http://www.vogueknitting.com/pattern_help/how-to/beyond_the_basics/seaming.aspx) to be of very good use...

These are just lovely as well! I haven't had a baby to knit for in quite awhile, but always enjoy doing baby things.
