View Full Version : FO: my first sock, literally :)
So, it's a sock :) It's made with Cat's Sweet Tomato Heel but only two wedges instead of three. Plus, the yarn is a bit thicker than sock yarn so maybe the second pair with proper yarn would turn out better. Anyway, I feel somewhat accomplished today :)
Also, credit goes to Cindy for her help with making toe up socks! Thanks!
ETA: Please scroll down to see two pairs made a few days later! :)

It looks very cute! Kind of like a little bootie with the thick yarn!
So.... socks are addictive! :)
It took three different completed socks to decide that for a 2.5 y.o. two heel wedges are enough, and for 4.5 y.o. two and a half wedges fit the best.

 Those are great! Do the kids like them?
I think so :) You can see on the picture that one of each pair is a bit bigger. That's because my daughter slept in them :)
By the way, I noticed that this wool is ... felting? Is it the right word for 'becoming furry against my will'? :) I wonder if it's normal. I haven't used 100% wool before so I am a little spooked :)

Hey, nice sock!! I just tried Cat's Sweet Tomato Heel too on a cuff down pair I made for my nearly 4 year old GD, I used 2 1/2 wedges. Very clever heel.
Oh, I just looked down the page and saw your whole pair and the other pair. We did the same thing.
