What size crochet hook needle should I use with size 5 yarn?

Hi All,

I am beginner knitting a garter scarf with size 11 needles. What size crochet hook needle should I use to weave in the ends of a 5 lion-brand yarn? How do I determine this?

For just weaving in the ends or attaching fringe, a smaller hook works better, so maybe an I or J. For actual crocheting with that weight, an L would be good.
