I've been really lazy about sharing pics of FO's so here are just a couple.
The socks are what I consider my first "real" socks (my first attempt at a sock was just to learn the process and I really didn't expect it to fit anyway). I started with the Simple Sock pattern from Cat Bordhi's book Socks Soar on Two Circular Needles. The instructions for picking up stitches for the gusset didn't make sense to me, nor apparently to the ladies at the LYS as they suggested the instructions from another book, Knitting Circles Around Socks by Antje Gillingham. That made more sense so I ended up using a combination of the two patterns. I feel like I got incredibly lucky in being able to start the second sock in the right place in the yarn so they're practically identical! I'm pleased with them and my daughter loves them so they went to her.
The other pic is a pair of fingerless mitts I made myself. My first real DPN project. I feel like they're a bit big but I love them. They're from a free pattern from Classic Elite Yarns, Twisted Stitch Mitts. Lots of fun to make! Oh almost forgot, I used Madelinetosh Tosh DK yarn.
Rats! My pics showed up in the preview of my post but not now?!?!? Try again, and now I get an error message that I don't have proper privileges to post pictures? I've posted pics before...it's too early for frustration!
