Entrelac purse

I am back again with a problem on the entrelac purse. I am almost finished knitting the flap and have run into another snag. I am supposed to pick up stitches along triangular shape of entire flap, knitting and binding off. Pattern says to work a few stitches at a time, with rt side facing, begin picking up stitches with the knit row at the base of flap. Continue working aroung flap ending with the knit row on the opposite side.
Having stitches on both needles, I don't know if I have misread the pattern in working the flap or if I have done it right. I don't know where to go with the pattern from here. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I am definitely ready to move on to another project.

Looking at the picture (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/entrelac-bag) on Ravelry, it looks like you're ok. I think that you work a section on the needles, then pick up along the edge of the next section and then proceed on to the next section of sts on the needles, etc. I can't quite tell but it looks like alternating sts on the needle with picked up sts will give you a flat edge. If maybe the sts on the needles are a row or two too long, you can decrease them.
