I'm still new at knitting and my pattern seems (to me) very vague. I'm starting the right front panel of a baby bolero and the pattern reads:

C/O 6 sts (all sizes)-- pretty straightforward. Done!
Inc at center front edge (at the beg of each R side row), as follows:

5 sts twice, 4 sts once, 3 sts once

Huh? Do i just start kfb on my first row of stitches? Do I knit a couple of rows first? Is there a different increase I should use?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, -Kirstin

A link to the pattern is always helpful.

I'd read it that you have to cast on 5 stitches at the beginning of the next 2 right-side rows; then cast on 4 at the beginning of the following rs row; then cast on 3 at the beginning of the rs row after that.

Use a cable or knitted cast on with the rs facing you and then work across the new stitches and the old.
