I'm thinking of starting a community of some sort where people could encourage each other to keep their home clean and organized.
Is this something you would feel is useful? Would it provide some motivation?
What type of platform would be good to use -- Facebook, forum, its own social platform?
Thanks for any input.
Diane

Personally, I think I'd rather knit!

I don't know how much call there is for that. There are other forums on the subject, too. Facebook might be the way to go since its all set up and ready to post.

Facebook sounds good to me since there's so much exposure but, you know, I always remember what Phyllis Diller used to say,
"A little housework won't kill you.....but why take the chance?"

I like a clean house, that said I moved and I have boxes everywhere and the house I moved to is suppose to be 200 sq ft smaller, no way, it is a lot smaller than that I am sure, I cant fit my furniture in and well I need a community to help me unpack, lol. If anyone came here they would say did you move in yesterday and when I tell them a month ago they would be shocked. I found no shelves in my lower kitchen cabinets, 3 shelfs in linen and pantry and so on. I have no where to put anything. I wont tell you how many rubbermaid totes of yarn I have or begin to tell you how many sewing machines and totes of fabric I have either. Oh vey

maybe a group Skype session if you have a laptop. You all connect and talk while you are cleaning or organizing what ever was decided for that day

I have discovered knitting! I've been telling people I'm doing spring cleaning, when they point out it's not spring I say I'm behind schedule. Good luck on your group, I'm sure there are plenty of people who would find it helpful.

I thinks it's a good idea for some people, but my mom is a very clean person, so if I do what she asks the house stays clean.
I was going to say that I too would rather knit, but that's not true all the time.
I did a dumb thing a couple years ago, being extremely tomboyish, I made a great effort to cultivate feminine characteristics. Unfortunately, I think I've gone too far, because I admitted the other day that I actually enjoy housework. (Well, not to my mother , to someone else, don't tell mom I said that!)
Being an extreme melancholic, I can be content with pretty much anything slow and boring.
OMG, I kid you not, my mom just called "We've got some housework to do, come on."
This is me right now. :woot: (Okay, not really.)
:roflhard:
