Does anyone recognize this stitch/pattern?

Hello!

I'm a cool weather knitter, and just searched for a new project. I found this patterned cloth and want to try it.

Also, do you think the edge is part of the pattern or picked up stitches and then knit on the edge?

Usually a 'what's this stitch' question is answered by - one of the many variations of Brioche stitch, or knit 1 below. See www.briochestitch.com and also bee stitch, waffle stitch and maybe honeycomb stitch that's done by doing a k1below.

Bee stitch was my guess, too. I have some washcloths made in this pattern--nice and bumpy, but not too scratchy!
