Confusing pattern

hey everyone! im attempting to do this bandana cowl

and ive gotten to the point right before the instructions calls for the short rows. i much rather do the german short rows since its substantially easier for me. could i get away with doing those instead? also wen they get to rows 7 and 8, im totally lost on what they want me to do....im pretty darn confused! please help!

Yes you can use any method of short rows which works for you. The instructions for rows 7 and 8 are for picking up the wrap for the W&T short row which you're not doing. So ignore what it says and just do whatever you normally do when you come to the turn with german short rows. Then you work 1 more stitch and turn again.
