I can't believe I just found this. All your non-human house mates are wonderful. I love the snakes, when our cat decides goes to HOLLYWOOD I think I'm going to get one. We live with a 15 year old Calico name Camille AKA She-Who-Must-Be-Obyed, and a 3 year old beagle named Lily short for Diamond Lil. Camille had live the first 8 months of her life on the mean streets of North Philadelphia before we rescued her. Not a pretty existence, so it's no wonder she's been pretty miserable life. The only person she really likes is my DH, the rest of the world she merely tolerates. I still love her even when she abuses me.

Lily is as happy as Camille is miserable. I got her at the SPCA this last Feb. She had been brought there by her last people to be put down because she wasn't house trained, as if it were her fault that after 3 years she wasn't trained. We had no trouble training her all it took was a little patience and some love. She is so sweet I don't know how anyone could give her up.

This is our cat Joey, he's 8 years old. We called him Joey because ever since he was a kitten, he's been able to balance up on his back haunches (like a kangaroo baby!) when he's reachin' for a pettin'!!

Ironically, my largest dog and my smallest are the best of pals. The Schnauzer, Veena, typically hangs off the jowls of Chewy. You'll usually find Chewy, dragging Veena along attached to her face.

I have to try and get a picture of that.

I'm really enjoying looking at all of your pet pictures. I've been just dying to add mine, but up until now, I didn't know how to resize them. (I'm a little computer challaged).

I still don't know how to add more than one picture to a post, but I just had to add this one of my Merlin, and his favorite place to sleep. I'll post pictures of my other cats, as soon as I learn more about it.

Anyway, here's my Merlin...

I watched Ocelot sit in the middle of the floor, staring out toward a blank wall and meowing. I felt so bad. That was such a painful decision.

Here are my dogs.

Lili is a Springer Spaniel. She is 6.5 years old. She is as sweet as sweet can be. She started having seizures in September and is on medication that makes her sleepy. We are hoping that she will be with us as long as we can keep her happy and comfortable

Luath is a Rat Terrier. Terrier is spelled by most terrier owners T-E-R-R-O-R. Luath is the Devil in a dog suit but we love him. He will be a year old in February. He loves Lili and has from the day we brought him home. When Lili had her last seizure, he got into her dog bed with her and draped himself over her until she was lucid enough to get up.

We also have a cockatiel named Maggie who is a boy but has a girl's name cause I couldn't tell the difference when I got him. Then when I realized he was a he, it was too late to change his name. Oh well.

I had a miniture schnauzer that had seizures. He lived 5.5 years on meds. Its very easy to control, you just have to be brave. If you have any questions feel free to PM me. There are lots of support groups out there as well, but they tend to be, well ... depressing.

Thanks, Becky!

I appreciate the offer and may take you up on it sometime.

I think she had the last one cause we were trying to lower her meds. Now she is back on the original dose and should be ok with that for the time being.

Best,
Susan

I have two more!

These are our dogs, Cheyenne and Dallas. We took these while on our daily hike along the Rio Grande in northern NM. Kinda funny, cause these are consecutive shots, and both were lickin' their chops!

Your dog pictures are wonderful! I can tell dote on them. I don't know if he still does it, but man in town bred mini-dachsunds and used them as Deer Find dogs--they would help track injured animals during hunting season. Someone I can't see Clementine doing that in her finery. :teehee:
