Hi,

I'm almost done knitting my very first scarf in the garter stitch. I was thinking about adding some fringes to the ends of the scarf. Does anyone know how I can do this?

Thanks!

I can't put it to words, but I found a Lionbrand pattern that puts it to words.

Pictures are better than words though. On your next trip to Borders or Barnes & Nobles, or Michael's or Joann's (you the point ;) ), look at one of those learn to knit books; they often times have pictures to compliment the words.

FRINGE

Cut 10 in strands of yarn, 18 of each color. Place 1 strand each of A and B together and fold in half. Use crochet hook to pull loop through first st, draw ends through loop, and snug loop up against fabric of Scarf. Continue in this way, placing fringe through every other stitch at top and bottom (short sides) of Scarf (http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/kwetq-hatScarf.html)
