You know I find it quite funny that one of the 3 pics that KK takes is of Hildes boobtacular bresticles. :roflhard:

You all are a beautiful bunch!

Here's a piccie of Hildies WONDERFUL present.... others said things like "Yarn Ho" and "Queen of the Yarniverse"... I cant remember all of them, but they were all GREAT!

(And, it wouldnt be an IL Knit-together if there werent boobies or butts or SOMETHING!)

That poor waiter at Cheeseburger in Paradise couldnt take his eyes OFF of Hildie's "gifts to the world"! :roflhard:

See ... she didn't even deny that she stole that bag right out from under me. I think I broke my ankle :limps away:

Wow, it's so much fun just to look at the pictures that I can only imagine how much fun you all had getting together! I was thinking about you all as I slaved away at work today. Those wine glasses are so cute Hildie! You are multi-talented :)

Another great IL get-together...Mosaic was great (aside from the fact that we walked in and they said, "who? here for what?" We all got some great deals...I couldn't believe the 50¢ magazines!! :happydance:

For once I did not forget my camera! The batteries DID die right before the big group shot, but everyone else got that one. Not everyone got this one though...

Fun, fun! Hildie's gazonga's are stealing the show, and Andrea's BLUE eyes are SURE to charm the fellas as well!

Julie's salad looks like a phallic monument of sorts, and Kelly, I am so jealous of the 50 cent magazines! That yarn is beautiful, Mary!

MORE PHOTOS PLEASE! :D

:waving: I'm home. I need sleep really badly but I just wanted to report that I had a GREAT time with all of you (but sorely missed all of you who weren't there!). After some sleep (aka. tomorrow) I will post my pictures. I was one of those who had a camera in my face A LOT!

Thanks again ladies for letting me come play & to Hildie for letting me stay with her!

DotMom61
07-16-2006, 12:38 AM
Sara!!! I was just sitting her hoping you got home OK. I was worried about you getting all sleepy! Can't wait to see your pics!!

So glad you could come and share the day with us!

Next time I'm staying around to eat and/or drink. That looks like fun------although I am very scared by Julie's (DM) salad.

If you look very closely at the picture of my yarn haul, you can see my pretty gift from Hildie. Mine says Queen of the Yarniverse and it is nestled right on the much coveted Koigu. Thanks, Hildie!! :D  :D

Sara, glad you made it home save and sound.

My salad might have looked a little scary, but it was YUMMY!!!! Those were big ole plantains sticking out of it, and it was loaded w/ shredded chicken and other really yummy stuff.

My glass from Hildie says "Stitchy Woman."

Great photos! I'm glad all of you had a wonderful time! Hild, those wine glasses are so cool--what a thoughtful prezzie to give!

Glad you made it home safely SJ!!

What a great group! What a great lookin' group!!!
Wish I could have been there and met those I haven't met already.
(Green with envy.)

Hey Hildie,
You mean Dixon has something other than Arthur's now?
I won't mention that to Jim, I'll surprise him. :roflhard:

BTW, have you heard anything about Aunt Mary's closing.
I seldom bought yarn there, but I went there for Susan Bates needles and hooks,
and she has great books.

Ingrid

A lovely, happy bunch of women surrounded by beautiful yarn! What could be better?

Hildie, what a fantastic idea on the glasses! You are so clever! (will I see that in quotes?)

Man I need to win the lottery so I can get a jet. I'll hire Paolo as the pilot and we can pick up everyone else who couldn't make it.

Looks like you all had a great time!

Hildie, what a fantastic idea on the glasses! You are so clever! (will I see that in quotes?)

Oh no!!

Mmmmmm....Paolo would make a great pilot for our jet! But wait--who would serve us then? Andrew? ;)

Ingrid

:rofling: Andrew could double as security on the ground and 'steward' in the air. Andrea wouldn't need a flight to IL, so we wouldn't have to worry about her hogging his time.

:fingerwag: No ladies, I would have a very hard time sharing him!! But he would make a nice Paolo! And methinks I'll show him the pipcture of Hildies boobs--if it's anything like our poor waiter's reaction ( "Yes ma'am! "Wait, what did you order?" ), he'll be sure to go to Stitches!

Here's my 3 whole pictures I took

Oh, and I picked the "Knaughty Knitter" glass because of my current lusting over my rookie

And, HOW, praytell, is he supposed to manage flying a plane and massaging my feet at the SAME TIME???

It's a little unnerving that my boobs made center stage at the knittogether. I'm never wearing that shirt again, that's for sure.

And If Paolo and Andrew are coming to our next "activity", I'm bring Jason the waiter. :eyebrow:

I posted my pics in my blog, here they are!!! (http://www.knittinghelp.com/knitting/forum/viewtopic.php?p=212656#212656)

I also posted completed pics of the wine tote on the watcha knitten forum.

SJ and I had so much fun! We planned on going to bed early, buuuuuuuut we were up till 1am! She brought me the most FABULOUS presents--a yankee candle, TWO skeins of casecade 220 (in the pic she posted) AND she even brought treats for the kitties!!!! Thank you SJ!!!!

I'm glad everyone liked the wine glasses. I was going to bring some wine for us to try them out, but I figured we'd all be silly enough WITHOUT it, so I didn't (I was right). Plus, i had no way of knowing that KK would be so buzzed from that gigantic drink she ordered that she would drop her for TEN TIMES at the restaurant.

I love "knit-togethering" vicariously through the photos! I can almost hear the laughter. How did you guys work out getting to use that room for your get-together?

DotMom61
07-16-2006, 05:34 PM
Sandy ... that's a room where they have classes, apparently, and I guess it just wasn't being used. Plus, they had another table in the same room. I'm sure the other ladies were TOTALLY jealous of all the fun we were having! I also know that they probably made enough $$ off of all of us that they could've cancelled any class they had going on there & done OK.

Oh, and someone asked what Andrea was doing in that picture: She was acting out chicken recipes.

KellyK

It's a little unnerving that my boobs made center stage at the knittogether. I'm never wearing that shirt again, that's for sure.Liar. Your boobs are their own entity. Its nothing you can change. Its like I have THREE friends when I visit you and I love them ALL.

That wasnt the chicken recipe, DM.... that was the poor guy with the OWL glasses that reported his wife "missing" But, yeah... Andrea is BEAUTIFUL. I WUV her. The chicken recipe was "smothered" chicken (said with her hand over her mouth) or "shake and bake" chicken (said whilst SHIMMYING!). She's SO FUNNY. :|

Sandy, every LYS we've called has been MORE than happy to host our group. I tell them I have a group of knitters and that we like to visit different LYSs, sit, knit and shop. Some (well, two) even give us a group discount! (We need to go BACK to Naperville, btw! 20%!!)

Trudy.... we would LOVE for you to visit your rich aunt and therefore us!!! But, please dont pee. :?

Im off to look at Hildie's pics!!

Oh shoot!! I forgot to post this last night:

I talked to Hildie about this already, and she asked me to post something about it here ...

I was washing the lovely wine glass that Hildie gave me on Saturday, and when I went to dry it, some of the paint wiped off. :crying: I was so sad ... if any of you have yet to wash yours, you may want to be careful & just let it air dry or maybe blot it.

I'm going to look for some glass paint when I'm at Joann's next time so I can repair mine. It now sort of says "Itchy Woman" instead of "Stitchy Woman" ... :roflhard:
