Dropped elongated scarf stitch

I am attempting to make an elongated stitch scarf, but have dropped the stitch on an elongated stitch and now have a big loop that I'm not sure how to get back onto the needle correctly. Can anyone help??

check out amy's video (http://knittinghelp.com/knitting/basic_techniques/misc.php) for fixing mistakes; you can see how to pick up a stitch, or how to recognize a twisted stitch (if you already picked it up, but it "looks funky")

Thank you for the link, but I just decided to to take the row out and restitch. I could get the regular stitch back on, but I was really confused since it was an elongated stitch. Oh Well! I re-did it and it turned out fine. Thanks for your help!
