I FINALLY found a small section of these "Learn to Knit" kits at my NEW IMPROVED SuperTarget today....
I bought the dog toys one because Ive been pondering designing a pattern for felted dog bone toys & wanted to see how they did the bone shaping.
This thing is HORRIBLE. Most of the booklet contains basic knitting instruction.....the pics are WAYYYY too small, and the instructions are :?? at best. I havent watched the DVD that comes with it...Ill check that out, but any poor newbie that buys one of these things is gonna quickly give up in exasperation, IMHO.
The 3 actual patterns are on the back of the booklet in VERY small print. They are not written like a normal pattern, again, will be confusing the first time a newbie DOES see a real pattern.
I kinda like the metal tapestry needle that came with the set, and the sz 7 straights are the same color as Denises...Ill have to see if they knit the same.
The (cotton?) yarn is pretty soft.
Ill review more after Ive actually knit with this thing.
