View Full Version : KH Auntie Purl KAL--Layette for MissTiaLouise

11-07-2005, 11:57 PM
As you all know, we have just found out that misstialouise is indeed expecting. This is very, very good news!

What we know:
The babe should hatch around July
The babe will be either boy or girl, but we have no idea which yet.
Tia lives in Australia, be prepared to ship overseas. Global Priority is pretty inexpensive for lightweight items.

We have 40 weeks to make one rawkin' layette, let's get busy! :XX:

Would anyone like to make a KAL button for us?

This bootie pattern is from right here (http://www.knittinghelp.com/knitting/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1998) on the forum. Very cute, and looks quick and easy. No dpn's required!

I'm in for multicolored baby/toddler socks from the North Country pattern Amy used for the sock video. It's a fun sock pattern!

Happy Knitting and Pregnancy to Tia! :XX: :cheering: :XX:

I'm definitely in, but there's time.

Hey Tia--any news on the gender yet? :roflhard: :roflhard:

Apart from the fact that we have to wait until about 20 weeks.. :P We're still 50/50 on whether to find out...

In the SLIM chance of twins (runs on my side), then we will find out for sure.. :D

oooo this is so exciting! I am so in on this :D I am going to try the booties for Sophia first so that I can use up all my mess ups on her :roflhard:

I love knitting for little ones

ooh yeay! I have some yarn left over that is so soft from the socks I'm making... now for some brainstorming! And yea, global priority for lightweight stuff is pretty darn cheap. I sent something to NewZealand and it cost me 5 bucks.

OH, OH, OH! Count me in!! I  to knit baby items. They are my one of my favorite things to knit :XX: and I, to quote KellyK, "WUV" babies. Which is rather ironic since I can't have any babies of my own. Now I have an excuse to look for patterns for baby things. Cool! 8-)

I'd sure like to try! I have no babies to knit for and the stuff is just so cute! At least I have time to learn more. ;)

This is now closed for obvious reasons. Our hearts go out to you, Tia. I was thinking of removing this thread just now, but I think I'll leave it up for hope.

Could someone else volunteer to take this over? I'm sorry, but I just can't afford the time to organize this. We have a lot of things going on at home right now.

Let me know!
