Hi!

I've got Flip Top Mittens on the needles and KellyK has been very helpful.
Disregard the gauge if you're knitting these for an adult woman.
I chg'd from size #13 dpns to a #8's and KellyK was right the fabric is still wonderful with Chunky Misti Alpaca & I make take her suggestion and
lightly felt them for extra warmth.

Does anyone know what it means to "cast on one new stitch over gap (using backward loop method)? I just put 10 sts on a stitchholder.

I'm the only one in class that didn't want to make a "simple" mitten, I'm suppose to have my homework everything until the thumb I guess.

Thanks for reading,

Do one backward loop cast on (http://knittinghelp.com/knitting/videos/cast-on/backward-loop-co.mpg)stitch. I'm thinking this is over the base of the thumb.
