This is the project that inspired me to get serious about knitting. It's a prayer shawl I knit for my SIL, in honor of the 5th anniversary of my BIL's death (which happened on her birthday, Dec. 18th).

It was a neat thing to make, though I got really tired of working with the Suri Dream. I think it actually looks better in person than in the pics (the uneven edges don't seem as noticeable in person for some reason). I had hoped to do more of these shawls, but I think I'm going to have to find a different yarn - one that works up a little more quickly and feels good to knit (this one feels good once its knit, but not while knitting).
