I finished this scarf for my mom yesterday. My last Christmas knitting project!! :cheering:

I used Plymouth Suri Merino- 55% alpaca, 45% merino. Very very soft. The pattern was from Plymouth- it has patterns for the scarf, a hat and mittens, but I'm just doing the scarf for now.

I second the comment about the neat edges -- what's your secret?

Very pretty -- I love that shade of blue!

Very nice, that is the sweetest shade of blue also. I third the neatest edges, how did you do it?

Thanks- I don't know what the secret is to the neat edges- maybe it's just the pattern? All is is is cast on 44 sts- RS knit, WS K2, p1, K2, repeat. So simple, but it makes a pretty stitch pattern. I think I am going to make the mittens for myself after Christmas.

What formed the border on the ends? It looks like there's a deviation in the stitches for about one row, about an inch or two in from the ends. It gives it a nice border effect on the ends.

Renna- I have to laugh- I was wondering if anyone would notice that. I made a mistake when I was a couple of inches into the scarf. The pattern calls for you to K2, p1, K2. I accidentally started the row with p1. I realized it a few rows later, and instead of frogging it and starting over, I kept on going and duplicated the mistake on the other end of the scarf!! :D

Bravo for you! Necessity is the mother of invention. Your mistake necessitated a repeat on the other end, hence, a new pattern was born! :cheering:

I love it! Very similar to scrunchable in looks too. I think I am going to piggy back off your idea and use this for my WoolEase ThicknQuick Man Scarf for #1 son! (to be started tonight  )
