Need yarn substitute.

I'd like to make the "Eve" stole from Knitty. (link below) Can anyone suggest a natural fiber yarn that I can substitute for the acrylic that would give me the same general look? I am also open to other pattern suggestions if anyone has one that uses natural fiber.

I'm not sure an eyelash type yarn exists in a natural fiber...but there are some blends. Something like GGH Nevada might work. It's mostly wool (70%) but is still fuzzy. Unfortunately I think that specific yarn is a much bigger gauge than the pattern suggests.
