I imagine they'd be good for a blackout!

*Honey, where are the flashlight batteries?*

*We don't have any, but I've got lots for my needles, want to borrow one to light you way to the bathroom? Just wait until I finish this row.*

It would be like knitting with magic wands! Oh and no more dropped stitches at the movie theaters, although I could see that being kind of annoying with this eerie glow from the middle row! :roflhard:

As if my cat doesn't bother my needles enough as it is  I could see her full out attacking these.

(But I do have to admit, it's pretty cool)

Those would be great for those nighttime car trips- I've taken my knitting with me when we've gone out during the day, but then have to give it up when it gets too dark- for some reason, my DH didn't want to drive with the interior lights on!!? :rofling:

 WOAH! Those are wacked out!! It would be like knitting with light sabers. You'd have to use them with your eyes closed, "Just use the force, Obe Wan Kaknitty."

wonder if they are turbo charged as well and will give a little "oomph" to the knitting?
:D

Okay so how about

self-warming needles (ie they actually have a heater in them)
magnetic therapy needles (have magnets in them to alleviate arthritis WHILE you knit!) - only would they stick together while you knit?

combine the above two- warmed, magnetic therapy knitting needles LOL

true turbo needles with little motors and movement sensors in them to augment every movement of the needles you make

vibrating knitting needles??

What will they think of next?!?? Knitting needles that double as...oh, I'm not going to go there. :roflhard:

You think there are knitting widows now???

:roflhard:

The poor knit SO's and DH's would be PERFECTLY useless. :roflhard: Every one of them would have to take a page out of Lonnie's book and resort to buying knit gifts in the hopes of bribing us for attention! :roflhard: :roflhard: :roflhard:

Vibrating needles.....that's the best idea I've heard in a loooonnngggg time.

I thought the EXACT same thing!!!

In fact, if I use THAT angle, I just might be able to weedle a pair out of my DH...

Well, if we are dreaming I want needles that knit on their own like Hermione has in Harry Potter (bewitched needles) so they can do the boring parts and I can just step in for the fun parts. 200 rows of stockinette stitch is just so boring! :D

ya know one day our power went off here and I couldn't see to knit and it was to cold to go outside so I was pressed against the window till they could get the breaker to break again or reset something... I could have really used them then....or just a flashlight with working batteries...
