Good sock pattern?

I really love socks and the idea of knitting them, but my first go was with really thin toothpick-like needles and scared me away!!

Anyone have a good pattern for something on bigger needles with some heavier yarn? Something plush maybe?

I use this one (http://knitting.about.com/library/blthreesock.htm) for three sizes almost exclusively--it just makes a great, comfy sock!
