View Full Version : Yarn substitution suggestion?

I want to make this (http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEwinter05/PATTtemptingII.html) from knitty, but I'm not sure what kind of yarn to use.

Preferrably something that's somewhat inexpensive, but not itchy. I'm looking for a dark purple or blue color, I guess. I'm not a big fan of brown.

Thank in advance for your suggestions. I'm still pretty new to this, so I'm not familiar with all my yarn options out there!

Andean Silk (http://www.knitpicks.com/yarns/yarn_display.aspx?itemid=5420126) might be very nice!

And I love that sweater!

I  that yarn!! It's so yummy!! I really do need it to be machine washable, though. Is that yarn the same weight and everything as in the pattern?

I just love that dark blue!!

Yeah, it's the same weight.

I know what you mean about wanting machine washable. But really, don't you want just ONE deliciously sensuous sweater that you can fondle even as you clean it?! :inlove:

:roflhard: "fondle" as I clean?? hahahaha!! I may have to rethink that....

Where did you get your avatar? I need one, but I don't want to put up a pic of myself...

Oh dear. The link is here in the forum SOMEWHERE...I'll see if I can find it!

Here (http://www.southparkstudios.com/games/display_games.php?id=16) ya go. You'll have to do some image re-working, but it's worth it!
