View Full Version : What should I make instead of an afghan???

01-15-2006, 11:44 PM
Okay, I bought like 10 skeins of Chenile yarn to do an afghan and I got about halfway thru and I don't want to do it anymore!! I have found so many gaps (from the pattern) because I apparently didn't pull the tension correctly  and now as I look at it and really critique it, I HATE it.

So I thought what else can I make with chenile yarn?

Any suggestions, mind you I'm a beginner and I'm just finishing my first sock this week. It feels like its taken forever. It really has!! :(

Pillow covers, like for toss pillows for the sofa?

What weight chenille is it? Finer or chunkier?

Here's a vest pattern with chenille

Try looking up the brand name on line, often they have recommended patterns for their particular yarns.

Ohhh, that's a cute vest. Thanks for the idea. And the pillow idea, I've yet to attempt that one!! No time like the present.

It says Chenille "Thick & Quick" I don't see where it says the weight?? 91% Acrylic, 9% Rayon. 100 yards.
