Considering the Year of the Sweater participation, and the knitting olympics, I'd say you're off the hook for February, don't you think?

Hm, I thought February would have been something like "knit something for someone close to your heart, or how ever many people you love"
I think everyone has this one done :rofling:

Hmm... since I started the KOKAL thread, does that still count as joining one? ;)
BTW Hildie... don't worry about being late posting this months KAL. I looked for it on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd... and then didn't find it until today!

There's a shamrock double knitting pattern on about.com http://knitting.about.com/library/blshamrock.htm This could be a new technique for some. I did the heart one for February and it was really fun!

Though I do like Hilde's plan I think perhaps we need to come up with something a little more acceptable for all ages!! ;) What about something Aran? Maybe a hat with some fun cables in a fisherman style wool? This will be my first KAL and I'm up for whatever you decide!
Jenelle

How about something for Black History Month? Something in Kinte colors?
Hildegard_von_Knittin
02-22-2006, 10:07 PM
FM, I was thinking of that for February. (February is black history month right??? That's when we do our big program at school, so I hope so!)
Okay, no drinking while knitting. Knit something green?

oops, sorry nina I didn't see your post! I like that idea too! I was goin to save cables for september, since that's when the first cable car ran :-) But it would still work for march

even if we don't do somethign for a black history month KAL...do you know of any good kente-like or other patterns along those lines.
I would be interested to put something like this on my "to knit" list...

OK now, no pressure but tomorrow is March 1!!! Now I have never joined one of the monthly KALs so I'm not sure if it's critical to start right on the 1st. I'm just excited! :cheering: Any decisions?
