These are WAY better than the first brown mittens I made when I was first learning to knit back in late summer.
I *thought* about trying to do a UPS shield on them... but I think I'll save that for the next pair. :D

GREAT job!! What yarn did you use? I only ask because I had to lightly felt the mittens I made to stop the wind from getting through them...something you might wanna think about if they are a natural fiber. I just sent mine through the wash on WARM (hot would've felted them TOO much) and they are PERFECT.

The yarn is Patons classic wool like the first pair I made which matted up a little bit, but I only hand washed them. I know what you mean Kelly about the holes letting the wind go through, but if they're too thick I can't hold the truck keys and it's a baaaaaad feeling when you drop the keys in the snow.
The pattern uses "Easy Warm Mittens" from www.hjsstudio.com/p-mitt.html but I've modified the pattern slightly to my own liking.
As much as I'd like to try them out, I hope the temp doesn't drop!

Funny how that is! My co-workers (97% male) all think I'm I'm a little strange to knit my own work mittens. After 15 years, they are beginning to realize that I'm a little weird in a Martha Stewart kind of way. :D
