I finished this last week and just got the buttons sewn on. A friend of ours just flew out to adopt so we're giving this to them when they get back.
It's my first sweater, even though it's just a baby sweater. It was really easy to do!
Yarn is Lily Sugar & Cream in Buttercream - 1 skein
Pattern is here - http://d-made.com/knitting/patterns/Quickie_Baby_Sweater.pdf

That is so cute! That is one of those yarns I would like all the colors seperately but couldn't imagine them looking good together until I see something like your sweater. Now I want to go get some and make a little something for me or a dress for dd.
You did a great job!

Just printed the pattern for 2 possible gifts for 2 summer babies. How long will this fit a baby do you think? 0-6 months?

Andrea,
I've been playing with it a bit, I'm thinking 0-3 (mybe 4) months. Maybe 0-6 for a 6 lber that grows slowly. FWIW.

Excuse my baby ignorance, but would a baby wear this in the summer/early fall then? Sugar and cream is pretty light yarn so I would think it'd be ok?

<giggle> Andrea, I would think of it as a summer/early fall baby sweater. Your right on. Or you could change the yarn to another worsted weight soft wool (or other animal fiber) to be a warmer sweater.
Here in Texas my babies need sweaters for the summer, for the air conditioned house, car rides, and inside events. But I love the idea of the dish cloth cotton, I cant wait to make this sweater.

HELP ... Instead of geting a curving row of pretty bumpy stitches ... I am getting what looks like a knit row on ss. I think my problem is with row 9 .... I am picking up the straight line of yarn between the needles ... just one ... What am I doing wrong?????? I will try to get a pix this evening to show what I am doing.
