Hello, Miss Kittie, from a fellow Texan. :waving:

I'm in northeast Texas as well. In a small placed called Jefferson, I know I know you've never heard of it, join the club! :)

Wow... lots of Texans! I'm in West Texas

Danielle, you appear to be southeast of me. Are you near Longview? I've heard there's a good yarn shop there, though I've never been there.
03-15-2006, 05:13 PM
Yes I'm about 40 miles from Longview. I'm new to knitting so I'm not sure where the yarn shop is. If you find out, let me know please. I'd love to go!
PS I'm about 15 minutes north of Marshall, an hour south of texarkana!

Jazzmatazz (from here on this site) wrote me last year and told me Longview had an "awesome" yarn shop. I remember her saying she drove two hours to get to it, and it was worth the trip.
I just found this review (http://knitting.about.com/library/bltx.htm) online. Scroll down about 1/3 of the page, and look for Stiches'N Stuff. There are two separate customer reviews written there. They say enough good about the store that it makes me want to hop in the van and GO! :happydance:

I've heard it of and think I know where it is. I've never been inside but will definitely make it a point to go in visit the next time I head to longview. Thanks so much for the information!

You're welcome. Be sure and let me know when you do visit, and how it was. :D

Hello Miss Kittie,
I'm in Ft.Worth. Welcome to KH. I am fairly new to knitting, less than a year, and I've been given some very helpful tips here. I love this site.

Me? I live in Plano.

The thing about Texas is, it's a biiiiig state. You can drive all day, and still be in it. I'm several hours away from Austin, myself. Hey, maybe you'll run into Vicki Howell down there. ;)
