Quick question for all you boogers!! :roflhard: Hehe, kidding of course!
Anyways, I just finished picking up the twisted stitches, I just followed Amy's video, so I hope I did that right. Anyways, it looks like the stockinette is going to be on the inside?! Is that right? I did a double stranded bottom with Paton's Classic Merino in grey, so when I changed to my Noro, I noticed the orange purl loop on the grey side, which I thought was the outside, so now I'm curious if I did something wrong?!

***Hmm...semi-afterthought....would it even matter if it was reversed? Couldn't I just flip it right side out when I'm done? Although I'd still like to know if this is right, if not, what in the world did I do?! :??

 I just realized I had a "Booga Bag question" post already...sorry for not continuing there!

Well, when I finished picking up my stitches, I don't know what I did but my needles were in a figure of 8 shape

I transferred it onto another circular and my stocking stitch was not on the ''correct side of the bottom' that I wanted. So I just bit the bullet and figured it was the bottom anyway so turned it the correct way so the stst was on the outside.

I know this probably doesn't help you at all but if you find out why it's the wrong side I will be glad to hear it too!

You could flip it when you're done, but it sounds like you're knitting in the round with the tips of the needles further away from you. You should arrange your work so the tips are closer to you like you're sipping from a cup...or in other words, if you're looking at your work from above, the tips of the needles should be at "6 o clock" instead of at "12 o clock"..does that help?

Andrea, what you said completely makes sense, but I don't see how I could have done that with the way the pattern says to pick up stitches? Since I used a different color on the bottom, I might just frog the last two rows, and try the picking up stitches again...
I'm wondering, maybe when I picked up the stitches I should have gone from back to front, instead of front to back? Is that what they mean by twisting?!

I didn't do the twisted stitches, and I think the majority of people here who have done the Booga also didn't twist (with felting, it'd be hard to tell anyway!!)

Maybe you went the wrong way when you picked up stitches...?

Okay, so I won't worry about the twisted stitches then...whew...one less problem to have.

About those picking up stitches...I had the 34 stitches from the last row of garter on my right needle, so I just picked up the 16 stitches from the end row in front of the needle tip, didn't seem to make sense to do it any other way? :??

Btw, working the booga is funny, it reminds me of trying to put the block in the circle hole of some of my games as a kid!! :D

That should be right. Maybe after you picked up the stitches you just started knitting in the wrong position right away...

The Booga is FUN! :cheering:

Andrea, that's exactly what I did. I frogged and started over...and waa-lah! :cheering: Thanks so much!!

I also have to say, on my booga bag, I did not bother to twist my stitches, and I thought it turned out fine.
