My Mema's birthday is April 5th and I'm working on a shawl for her--it's not something I'd ever do for myself but I feel like it's a nice pattern for her--she loves shawls--especially to bring/wear to church. Anyway..whatcha think?

It is beautiful Cristy! That is a very imporant thing about knitting that you recognize - you are making something that she would like! She'll love it! I find it hard to do that - even when picking colors because I prefer neutral colors but I'm getting ready to work on something that is lime green!

Hey Cristy ... I came across this thread shortly after you posted it, and shortly after I frogged my MIL's Ella shawl for the 6th (5th?) time ... this pattern looked just lovely so I went with it, and am now about 10" in. How's the one for your Mema coming? I really like the color you chose ... I have pics of my progress in my blog, though I haven't updated it since the work began really. Thanks for the great pattern idea.
