Help! No matter what I do, my bind offs are always tight. I've tried to do them as loose as I can, even using bigger needles to bind off, but it doesn't seem to help.
Are the bound-off edges supposed to be as "elastic" as the cast-on edges? Maybe I'm not making a fair comparison of the two?

Have you tried binding off with two needles instead of just one? I cast on like that sometimes. I also pull each stitch extra loose, so that it's floppy. Good luck!

it uses more yarn....so if you are at the end of your rope, might not be a good idea!!!
Jessi gave me this Bind Off when I was complaining about my toe-up socks being too tight; but it's for ribbing specifically:
K1, *bl (backward loop), pso (pass stitch over), k1, pso, p1, pso, bl, pso, p1, pso, k1, pso,* repeat between * until all sts are cast off.
1x1 rib: K1, *bl, pso, p1, pso, k1, pso, bl, pso, p1, pso, k1, pso,* repeat between * until all sts are cast off.
