You'll know it as soon as you see it!!!!! ;-)

So, because I have lots of work I need to procrastinate, I was looking at internet memes on Wikkipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_meme) today, and came across this one (http://www.flickr.com/groups/handwritingmeme/pool/show/). I thought it would be fun to try here.

All you do is write out the sentence, take a picture of it add your name (not your signature!), and post it here! See how our knitter's fingers work in other mediums!!!!

I like this meme!

My handwriting is pretty attrocious. I hope you guys notice that my "f" actually loops backwards!

It is from typing class - it is a sentence that includes all the letters from the alphabet.

I have some pretty wretched memories of typing that sentence over and over and over...GAH!

But writing it is fun!

OK..I'm not sure why we're doing this, but I tried to play anyway. However, I can't get my stupid camera to take a decent picture. Something about the white piece of paper and the flash I think...and I don't know how to turn the flash off. :(

Can you shine a light directly on the page while taking a picture? That might help....or not?

brendajos

i had to turn the flash off on mine last night because it was whiting out the page. try putting your finger over the flash when taking the picture. that should help some.

If you're having trouble with the flask reflecting off the white paper, try taking the picture at an angle so most of the flash doesn't bounce directly back to the camera.

Leave it to you, Hilde! Of course we all have to do it since you initiated it.

I figured the point was to show one's writing in the natural state (not trying to be neat) so I went with that. I'm almost embarrassed to show it, but obviously not embarrassed enough! :)

Remember when they use to grade penmanship in grade schools? NOT my best subject. In fact, the only thing I ever got a bad grade in.

I cross my 7s and my Zs, but only the Zs when I'm printing. When I was in 7th grade, my French teacher said that's who they did it in France, so I forced myself to pick up the habit so I could be more Francais-like .

Sara, j'ai pense que vous ecririez en francais:
Le renard brun rapide saute par-dessus le chien paresseux

I think we all have beautiful handwriting. Where's KK's example?????

My DH wanted to play too (because he's weird)! He apparently also crosses his z's. He doesn't get to write a lot around here because his writing is miniscule...but you can't tell that to well from the picture.

So, because we have nothing better to do here is the same sample with some thing to compare the size to.

LOL My computer thinks I've got a 19 inch screen, but in reality its only a 17. (I dont know where to go and change it) So when I read long threads I dont always see everyones avatars. So when I saw yalls handwriting style I knew exactly who they belonged to. LOL I don't see a signature till I get to them, I'm a slow reader.
