View Full Version : Slightly OT-Pictures in Signatures

OK, I know that when somebody answers this I'm gonna feel like a total dope, but we're all friends here and I think I can take it.

How to I put this picture into my signature? I can save it in any format I need, .gif, .tiff, .jpg, you name it. I just can't figure out how to get it in...

Go to your profile at the top of the page. Down at the bottom there is a place to browse and attach your picture. It will tell you if it's too big.

I tried that, but it tells me that the image is too big. Isn't that just for avatars?

I *think* to put a picture in your signature you need to load it on to a server (like photo bucket or flicker) and save the picture. Then, use the picture address tags to get the picture to show up. Since you uploaded the picture already you can right click on it and select properties. Then copy the web address that appears there

then put that inside the tags in your signature and it *should* work - like I've done below.

Thanks sara_jayne, you totally rock!

I'm not sure if I was assigned a team, but I'm going to be working on a Mosaic Boatneck sweater (my very first sweater gulp). You can read about my periodic freakouts, erm, I mean progress, at my spiffy new blog thread. (http://knittinghelp.com/knitting/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13920)I'm really jazzed!

What are you working on?
