View Full Version : FO - Surprise Garter Stitch Jacket!

This is Elizabeth Zimmerman's "Surprise Garter Stitch Jacket" - It's for kids, because of the proportions. An adult version can be made by picking up from the "wrong" side at the long-tail cast on and knitting down. And, of course, by making it much larger!

This was really, really interesting to make. Probably the most clever knitting I've ever seen in my life. I feel smart just for being able to figure it out. I suspect the sleeves make be too short, but I figure I can pick up and knit down if I need to. Right now I'm just too happy to be DONE!

As you can see, I still need to sew it up and weave in a few more ends but it's done done done - No more knitting on this puppy. Just finishing. I'm happy. :D

It's for meee...
Well, no. I knit it because it interested me. I'll probably give it to one of my cousins.
