A newbie's first FO's!!!

Hi everyone! I am a self-taught newbie and just wanted to post some of my projects because I am so proud of them!!! I've been knitting solidly for only about 6 months and just learned to crochet as well.

Everything looks great. Although I love that sweater! What size of needles did you use for it?

The sweater was my first speed stix project (US size 50). I didn't believe the instructor when she told me to buy size 50!!! They looked like "Fisher-Price" needles to me! ;) The whole project took about 6 hours.
