Back of YO row, What to do???

Hi, I am a new knitter and I am just learning YO (yarn over), I have your CD and can follow the YO instructions but I am completely stumped when I get to the back of the row, where the instructions say K1, P all and K1 at the end, but the back of the YO and slip stich is a mess, so I pearl everything cause when I do, I do not get any holes or eyelets. Help!!!

A YO is supposed to create a sort of hole, or eyelet, in your work. You just treat those loops like normal loops. Knit or purl in them as though they were a normal one and all will be well. :)
