I am making a sweater of 100 % wool, worsted weight. The front is to have a large Santa face in duplicate stitch. I'm using wool for much of that, with Toaga from Henry's Attic (78% mohair, 13% wool & 9% nylon) for his beard. Tonight my DH asked whether I was going to block before or after adding the Santa face. I must confess that I had never given it any thought, and once I did, I had no idea. Any suggestions?

I think if it was me, I'd block after everything was said and done.
