Merino Roving

Hi there I will show my ignorance again :oops:

Can you please tell me how you would use Merino Roving?

I keep seeing it on ebay (I was only 'looking' at the wool in a spare moment :roflhard: ) its funny looking. So what is it??

Roving can be used to spin yarn if you have a spindle, and it can be used for needle felting if you have (can get) tools for that.

There's probably more, but that's what I've heard the most about.
