Sorry I'm late. Again

For October... it's getting cooler outside, and I personally find that my feet get cold before anything else. In that light, the challenge this month is to:

Knit for Below Your Waist

Anything that goes on your butt or below counts... socks, legwarmers, shorts, slippers, clogs, stockings, pants, longjohns, toewarmers, fishnets, etc. Even bikini bottoms and willie warmers :eyebrow:.

Happy Knitting!

You know I got to thinking, if you're knitting a sock cuff down, and finish the heel, before you start knitting all around again, if you stop and hold the sock sideways, it looks like a wee-knee warmer! :happydance:

wow I should really click the link before I read any posts that come after it. Because I was thinking along the lines of weeny warmer or even that knitted penis that was posted a while back ( the :eyebrow: reinforced that thought)
And then I read Don't eat it before you wear it!

And went What the :!!!: !!!!!!

That was enough excitement for one night.

I would like to knit leg warmers.. although I don' t know how I would wear them or if I'd wear them out... but for some reason I have the strong urge to give them a try

Hildegard_von_Knittin

I might try legwarmers; I hate it when I get a draft between my sock and my pants. Legwarmers would close up that space but not overheat my feet like extra long thick socks.

I wanna play too :happydance:
I just finished my Mom's slipper socks, my first attempt at socks, and now I'm hooked, just bought some size 2 needles at JoAnns with a 40%off cupon, so now I have 8 size 2...why don't they come in packs of 5??? Anyway I've been wanting to knit my dd a pair of socks. Maybe I can get them done in time for Balloon Fiesta?! Humm, it starts this Sat, maybe not. I'll give it a heck of a try though.
o boy!
I could use sport weight yarn for the baby's socks because I want them to be like slipper socks for her, right? (with my size 2)

I'm making Slipper Socks (http://www.tropicalyarns.com/index.cfm?PID=22&ProdID=317) for my son in college.

I'm using two strands of yarn together.
Caron Simply Soft (http://shopcaron.com/shop/cart.php?target=product&product_id=121) in Dark Country Blue
and TLC Amore (http://www.coatsandclark.com/Products/Knitting/Medium+Yarns/TLC+Amore.htm) in Lake Blue

The slipper socks are gonna be SO SOFT!

I just realized that my project won't be done on time either Vic.

Looking back, I think the ONLY one I completed on time was the very first one, April of 05. Isn't that horrible???

Hildegard....human?! Get OUT! She isn't cause she's got super powers :teehee: Even I know that  Gosh, it's fun to mess with Hilde :teehee:

WIP Sock is no longer WIP Sock, he's now grown up like his brother, Sock! No more eating out with me, when the Sock brothers eat out with us from now on, they'll be on Lonnie's feet! I'll post a photo tomorrow, the Sock Brothers are asleep on the sock blockers now, I don't have the heart to wake them

YOU BLOCK YOUR SOCKS?? Wow, I never heard of that, really. We just put them on immediately. Hmmm. Does it make them look better that much?

Like that slipper sock. You can make one in a day???!

rebecca
10-27-2006, 05:54 PM
Yep, I block all of my socks before I photograph them. Well, I sometimes block socks after I wash them, too, depending upon the sock pattern. I blocked my Leaves of Whimsy socks (http://www.divaknitting.com/store/index.php?main_page=document_product_info&cPath=60&products_id=234) after I washed them yesterday.

Okay, as I said before, the Sock Brothers are done! I snuck up on them today and took a couple of photos while they were playing, then napping after they had been climbing a tree

I used WOTA in Chocolate and Chambray.
