Hi Everyone!!
I found this site over the summer when my sister wanted me to teach her to knit! :woohoo: After one afternoon of instruction she had more questions than I could answer via telephone or email (she lives about an hour away so we don't get to see each other often enough). So I went searching for tutorials -- and landed right smack on the best knitting help site in the world!!!
I started knitting more than 20 years ago -- one stormy night when I couldn't get in touch with my DH - then fiancee - I decided I needed sometihing to get my mind of imagining the worse... so I picked up the needles I'd bought years before and failed miserably with, some yarn left over from a crochet and an instruction booklet purchased at the same time as the aforementioned needles! :teehee: My cat and I made amazing progress that night! I learned how to cast on and actually knit several rows and the cat learned how fun waving needles can be!! :cheering: Needless to say - we were hooked!! ;-D I've rarely ventured past blankets, scarves and the odd easy sweater, so I consider myself a novise. But I'm starting to brave! I'm actually made a small bag in the round using circular needles! (just need the curage to felt it!) and am going to convert an easy sweater from 2 separate pcs. to knitting as one piece in the round!! (Again THANKS to the angels that gave me help and advise!!) So now that I've "talked" ya'lls ears off - I'm ready to get back to knitting!! xxx
