I would like to see and touch Noro yarn before I buy it, but I have been unable to find a local store in NJ that sells it. Does anyone know where I can go or should I just order blind off the net? I checked the web but can't find anything.

I have no idea, because my yarn store is in New York. Where in NJ are you? I'm in Bergen County.

I am in Middlesex County, and only have JoAnn's, Rag Shop, etc. with ordinary wools and yarns. I guess I will have to make a trip to Manhattan if I want to get up close and personal with Noro.

I just googled yarn stores in NJ. here's (http://knitting.about.com/library/blnj.htm) a link to about.com reviews. And this (http://www.cindys-yarnbarn.com/) one is in South Plainfield, which I never knew was Middlesex County. My dad used to live in one of the Plainfields.

How far in Jersey are you willing to travel to go to a yarn store? I know there's one in Englewood. I have yet to go there, but it has malabrigo.

Thank you, I am going to Cindy's Yarn Barn tomorrow on my lunch hour and will report back as to her supply. It looks like it is only 20 mins. away, so that leaves me 20 mins to browse.
