The DH and I had to attend a wedding in MI this past weekend and I found a yarn store :cheering: . I bought some Elsebeth Lavold Classic AL, and some Rowan Tapestry. Don't have a clue what to do with it, it's getting to know my other yarns right now.

I also found the Wonderful Wallaby pattern. I'd love to make this, can anyone suggest a SOFT and machine washable-it's for the grands-wool? Worsted weight?

What is the Wonderful Wallaby pattern? My LYS is going to have a class but I don't know what it is.

I'm making the wonderful wallaby right now for my son and I'm using knitpicks swish. The wallaby is a hoody sweater or I think my kids also call it a kangaroo jacket. It has a hood and the front pocket.

Kudos on the yarn score :cheering:
I don't know what the wonderful wallaby is either :teehee:

Plymouth Encore and Unger Utopia have nice, bright colors. And Knitpicks has some nice stuff, too.

I bought the Wonderful Wallaby pattern too...I bought some Plymouth Encore at the same time...

And for the Wallaby curious, here's (http://home.earthlink.net/~adbatiste/WW_FAQ.html) a link of FAQ.

thanks to everyone. I was leaning toward Encore but wondered if there was a better way. Now I know it's the one. Hugs for all

I made a Wallaby-like sweater for my son out of Bernat Denimstyle. It is an acrylic/cotton blend and it is SO soft, and washable.

How is the Rowan Tapestry? I'm finding myself very tempted by it, but I also can't imagine what to make from it!
