:happydance:

I decided to make this for my dad's 70th birthday...my first experience with cables!

I used Rowan Cashsoft DK on #4 needles (pattern called for #6). The color seemed appropriate for a Green Bay Packer fan, although I would have preferred it in blue and orange for the Chicago Bears!

The pattern is from One Skein (http://www.amazon.com/One-Skein-Quick-Projects-Crochet/dp/1931499748/sr=8-1/qid=1161632454/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/104-1037530-9877514?ie=UTF8) by Leigh Radford.

I've looked at that pattern too---it's nice to see another example knit up. I'll be adding that to my list ---I do playground "duty" at an elementary school, gaiter's are perfect to wear. No pieces to dangle, no chance for someone to pull on it, or try to swing from a long scarf. I do think that you should make your dad a second one in GOLD---just in case there's another "Ice Bowl" at Lambeau--He can be prepared.
