Got the ends woven in just in time for my trip (I leave for Italy tomorrow). I am in love with this scarf. Couldn't wait to get a better picture of it, so here 'tis.

I must know what product you use in your hair. I want my curls to look like that.

I have a couple of products I love: One Condition conditioner by DevaCurl, which I use as a leave-in, and I use two Curlisto products for styling- I mis Control Gel II with Structure Styling Lotion. More details here. (http://earthchicknits.blogspot.com/2006/09/sneak-peeks-and-such.html)

You guys are the best!
Quiara, I put the specs in the pic caption but should've put it in the main message (I was on my way out for a bit and in a hurry). I used 1 skein of Malabrigo (215 yds) in Azul Profundo. I really looooovvvvveeeee this colorway. The scrunchable pattern really plays the variegations well. It puts me in mind of a waterfall.

I should have looked more closely. I was just overcome by the beauty. ^_~ I hate when I do that. How many stitches did you cast on? I'm doing a scrunchable scarf right now in some lovely baby alpaca chunky. It's going to be so stinkin' warm. ^_^

I copied Amber (http://www.knittingnelly.com/?p=214) exactly: I cast on 20 stitches and knit until I ran out of yarn. The scarf is 3 inches wide and 75 inches long.

Azul Profundo....I just love how that sounds! All those Italians will be :eyebrow: at your scarf!

Poor earthchick, forced to knit herself a scarf and dragged to Italy...oh the poor dear. NOT!!! Great job on the scarf, and you'll have to show us lots of pics of Italy when you get back! Are you going to hit any Italian yarn stores?

Oh yes! I found one discussed in a couple of blogs that is a block-and-a-half from where I'm staying in Florence (it's called Campolmi Roberto). I'm very excited about it!

Have fun in Italy! Your scarf will love it there! :teehee:
BTW, I can see your packed suitcase and neck-pillow in the background. I'm soooo jealous!

CUTE! I agree, those Italians are going to want that scarf!

earthchick, by any chance are you a frequent visitor to www.naturallycurly.com??? Lots of the folks there use products from Devachan.
I'm still working on my curly hair routine. Sigh.
Sorry to drag your post off topic!
I loved your scarf, as well though! I'm doing a scrunchable as well, and love it so far!!
Have fun in Italy!!

Hey Curlykat - yeah, I used to frequent nc a lot (joined in March 2002 around the same time Curly Girl came out). It's a great board, and I'm a huge fan of Devachan (got my hair cut there 4 years ago and it was the best haircut experience I've ever had).
Leaving for airport in 2 hours - what the bleep am I doing online? :roflhard:
