I've been working of 3 sets of hats, gloves and scarves for my 3 nephews for x-mas gifts... so far I have somewhat complete one set, working on the second... hopefully I'll be able to start the third one soon. I still have to get some pom-pom maker and add fringes to them... They are not perfet looking pieces but I'm putting all my time and love. :flirt:

THANK YOU THANK YOU... You do't know what it meants to me your praises.... THANK YOU

For the mittens... hehe... After I tried 3 differents patterns knitting and unknitting for up to 4 days and ended up messed up and confused... I made them without patterns.

what I did was I

O 32. rib: 1kn 1prl X 10rows
row 1: knit till the end
row 2: prl till the end
repeat row 1 and 2 until (I had totally 10 rows)
row 11 thumb : slp 1* inc 3 knit 7 inc 3 slp the rest ( I set all the slp stitches in a piece of yarn so I could work better on my THUMB somehow I ended up having 33 stitches, HEHE
row 12 thumb: purl
(ON) odd number row knit, (EN) even number rows knit or you could use 3 or 4 DPNs to make a tube. total stitches for thumb 14 rows.
row 15 cut the yarn like 5 inches and pass it through the stitches. pull the yarn and use the remain to stitch the sides if you didn't use DPNs
row 11 knit first stitch, pick stitches from Thumb knit the rest until the end.
row 12: purl
ON rows knit (EN) rows purl. I knit 25 rows.
Row 25: kn 2 - dec kn 2 st tog - kn 2 - dec kn 2 st tog - kn 2 - dec kn 2 st tog - kn 2 - dec kn 2 st tog - kn 1 - dec kn 2 st tog - kn 2 - dec kn 2 st tog - kn 2 - dec kn 2 st tog - kn 2 - dec kn 2 st tog - kn 2
row 26: purl till the end (I had 25 stitches after the decreasing)
repeat row 26 for 4 more rows, cut enough yarn to pass trough the stitches and pull, and stitch the side of the mittens

I know it sounds really mess up but for a beginner like me it was easier for me to come up with my own patterns though they might not be the ebst way!!!!!

One day I will be able to do something more professional!!!! and one day I will be able to follow patterns!!!!!

Hopefully it will fit my 8 years-old nephew, hehe

And I have corrected a mistake in my pattern. The corrected part is now in red and bold. I can be such an idiot sometimes! :wall:
