I just taught myself knitting using this wonderful site.
I really wanted to try the simple hat on these forums, but I couldnt afford new needles :(

I wanted something varied and a little smaller than a scarf, so I decided on a bikini top!

I think it turned out OK for my first time :) the decreasing looks TERRIBLE up close and I have no idea what I did wrong :(
Also I just cant seem to understand how to bind off! The site doesn't say what to do after you finish stitching :( But I improvised and made a ton of knots!
Its on very cheap yarn but it still feels nice so no worries there :)
Next Im gonna save up for some DP needles and make myself a hat!

On to the pictures (my camera is awful :()

Very cute! What an awesome first project!

I can't really tell there is a problem with the decreasing...could just be something that will work itself out with practice.

Looks fine to me, but I pictures can hide things we see with our own eyes.

Here's another site that can help you knitting. It's great because you can print out the instructions to have them nearby when your working.

Great start! Are you going to make the bottoms too?
