A lady that works with my mother asked me to make a beret and scarf for her 3 year old for Christmas. I chose Moda Dea Dream (http://www.modadea.com/dream.htm) as the yarn, and got this pattern (http://www.cabinfever.ca/ItemDetail.asp?DETAIL=127) for a beret at my cousin's yarn shop.

I just finished the beret, and am very pleased with it!

I'm making the scarf in the round, so it will be double-sided. I think it will take the longest time to make. I really love that yarn - it's so soft!

Now, I'm working on the scarf. I've decided to make the Scrunchable Scarf (http://www.knitlist.com/96gift/giftsscarf.htm) with this delicious yarn. I really like the way it's turning out!

The beret is adorable and the scarf will go great with it.

My granddaughter loves her beret. If Mama forgets to bring it to town, she's unhappy not to have her hat.

Here's the finished set! (Well, not really finished, because the lady wants me to add fringe.)

I added fringe, because the customer requested it. But I think it looked better without it.

She can trim the fringe the length she wants. I've spent enough time on this project.

I love this beret made with the moda dea dream. I have a few balls of this yarn now and would like to make this same beret however; the pattern no longer is available. Do you have the pattern? If so I would very much like to have it.

It's still available through the web archive. Print it while it's still around.

Thank you so much Jan for the scarf pattern! :happydance: Im having difficulty trying to figure out the exact beret/hat pattern used. Do you have a name per chance. Its the beret knitted in the same yarn Moda Dea Dream as the scrunchable scarf.

Hi Shandeh, would you still have the beret knitting pattern? its no longer available online. Also giving me the name of the beret pattern might help. Thank you so much!

The beret looks pretty basic. I think you'd be able to find one on Ravelry as a free d/l. I like Tam Topper (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/tam-topper). The ribbing is on the inside of the band. If you want the stitch pattern of the scarf on the hat, you might still find it at Ravelry.
