Hi
I'm looking for a super easy and quick sock pattern !!!! I've been looking online and I know there's a gazillion models out there but i'm just wondering if anyone has a pattern that is good for beginners and quick and easy ? I would like to knit a pair for my dad for xmas?
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

I am such a sock junkie. I'm fairly new to knitting and have a sock pattern of my own that I like to use. If you would like my pattern I can post it on my blog for you. The pattern is on the intermediate side and does require a heel. However my heel is done with decreases. I also have a tube sock pattern that is for babies, but can be modified for adults.

If you would like either pattern i'll post them for you.

Here is the link to the tube sock pattern.
http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/babytubesocks.html I took and turned my tube socks into mittens. here is a pic of them

I just attached an Icord to keep the mittens together.

I hope this helps for now. I have to get the Sock directions typed up and put online.

My socks are not the easiest to do but they are not super hard either. I took me about 4 days to knit them. Then again I was also stuck in the car for 6 hrs coming home from Thanksgiving. I leave on Staurday for Florida so i think I might knit another pair. This time I will try to keep track of how long it takes me. I am also a fast learner. I hope this helps.
